JERICHO WILL FALL

Jericho is the arrogance of the enemy.  Jericho taunts itself to the rest of the world that it cannot be compromised.  It boasts great things against all who behold its strong walls.  It screams “My walls are just too strong for you.”  You can’t enter my gates.  We are so well fortified that you can’t compromise us in any way.  The tragedy is, it holds our people.  It guards our lost loved ones. 

Satan’s structures arrogantly look to Christians and God’s Soldiers and say “God cannot even bring these walls down!”  We’ve heard the lies of Jericho before.  We hear it in our lives on a daily basis.  Much of modern Christianity may believe the pride of Jericho, but God’s soldiers have seen God’s mighty hand on display throughout our wilderness.  We’ve already seen what God can do!  The battles we’ve been brought through have prepared us for Jericho.  We can no longer look at any city, any battle, any opposing army with dread because every single form of opposition that has dared to stand against us has seen the Almighty fury of our Great God!

Jericho pridefully lies to all of us saying Rahab is held within Satan’s stronghold and there’s nothing you can do to rescue her.”  The massive walls and strong gates boast a very convincing story.  Rahab prayerfully rests inside the walls of the city hoping she can be freed.  She sees the spies enter the city promising deliverance. Rahab represents the people who want freedom but are not capable of freeing themselves.  Rahab sees the kingdom of God but cannot break free from Jericho’s hold.  Therefore, she must be freed by the kingdom of GOD.

Joshua 6:1-2 Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. 6:2 And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.

Sometimes you as a believer need to walk around Jericho’s city walls for a few days.  Maybe you need a few days to look things over really well.  After a week, you will realize Jericho isn’t as big as it boasted itself to be.  Regardless of how big it may be, it cannot stand against God’s soldiers carrying the presence of God when we march to God’s orders. 

God’s strategy was simple; Do what I tell you to do and Jericho will fall down flat.  God’s strategy for you today is simple; Do what He tells you, trust Him and your Jericho will fall!  The most vital part of Jericho’s fall was the ark of the covenant.  No battle will be fought and won without God’s presence. 

Your life today may stopped or stalled by spiritual walls.  Satan may have you in a definite stalemate.  Your loved ones may be held within those walls with the gates shut tightly.  It doesn’t matter.  God is big enough.  God is great enough!  God is all you need. 

Don’t let Jericho lie to you.  All you need is the presence of God.  When you are walking in fellowship with God, then you have access to all the power of God.

The secret of victory in your Christian life is God’s presence. Without His presence, nothing will go right. Our enemy will prevail. But with God in our midst, all our enemies will fall.  The walls that stand against us will fall.

Jericho will fall!  Trust in the power of God.

Psalm 16:8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

SEEK GOD’S PRESENCE

All throughout the Old Testament, one vital truth is revealed.  The presence of God makes the difference.  When Israel’s army had God in the midst, all their enemies fell.  When Israel sinned and forsook the Lord, their enemies prevailed. 

The lesson is simple, with God all things are possible.

Without God, nothing is possible.

Seek God.  Get in fellowship with God.  When God is at your right hand, You shall not be moved.
