BATTLEFIELD FAITH

The spiritual war we are fighting today is intense on many fronts.  Satan has many tactics in his arsenal to unleash on us.  But our warfare armor and weapons are much more mighty than his.  However, this does not mean Satan’s bullets cannot be effective.  But they are only as effective as the weaknesses we have in our weapons.  In order for God’s soldiers to continuously fight and remain in the battle, we must become acclimated to the battlefield and use the weapons we have been given.

Among many others, the spiritual warfighter must be equipped with a strong faith order to fight effectively.  There’s no substitution for battlefield faith.  It’s battlefield faith. It’s a battleground faith.  It’s a faith that has not only been tested in the fires of recruit training, but a faith that becomes purer and stronger as the battle intensifies. 

The firefight on this spiritual battlefield looks a lot like the following:  Satan or his soldiers fire shots of unbelief at you telling you that you’re not gonna make it through your battle.  You must fire back with shots of faith like; Satan I’m not retreating!  You will fall in this battle.  You will fail!  God is on my side!  I will prevail!

This is what battlefield faith looks like. 

The battle is too great!  The consequences are too severe. 

Battlefield Faith?  What is it?  What does it mean? 

There’s a lot of talk today about faith.  Many people in the body of Christ claim to have faith.  Faith has been polluted and diluted so much in this generation. 

Faith is not really on display in garrison.  We can learn about faith in church.  We can study about faith in our bibles, but faith untested is not really faith at all.  It must be learned and developed through testing. 

1 Peter 1:6-7 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for season, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations.  That the trial of your faith being much more precious than gold that perisheth, though it be tried by fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.

Your Ammunition for Today:

FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH

In battle, opposing armies exchange fire.  One army fires, the other army returns fire.  How foolish would it be to be attacked but not return fire? Are you returning fire? 

This is what many of us do today.  We take shots from Satan but very rarely return fire. As a matter of fact, we absorb just about every shot that he fires at us.  We accept everything he says about us.  We believe every lie he speaks.  When we do this, it is like a soldier standing up without armor or weapons exposing himself and placing himself as an easy target. 

Why do we do this?

Faith is literally part of our resistance and return fire strategy.

1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Timothy was called to be a soldier.  So are you. Until you can rise on the battlefield and maintain daily a confidence in God, a total disregard of Satan’s lies, schemes and tactics to manipulate your mind and your faith, then you are subject to being overtaken in unbelief.

Battleground faith is a constant, full frontal assault on every lie and scheme of the devil. Satan cannot win with a man or woman of battleground faith. There’s no avenue of unbelief where Satan can penetrate. If he cannot penetrate into your mind, then he cannot plant unbelief into you. There’s no reason Satan ever has to gain an advantage on us.

In every battle in this Christian life, Satan loses. You can and will win every fight if you continue to march on in faith. If you continue to stand boldly. If you continue to fire shots of faith against him, victory will be yours consistantly.

It’s literally a fight of faith.
